Team

I’m Sema, and I’ve been part of this team for a year.

Since graduating in 2010, I’ve worked as a physiotherapist. Throughout my career, I’ve primarily accompanied and treated patients in the fields of neurology and orthopedics.

Along the way, I’ve learned that every person and every situation is different. That’s why, for me, it’s not just about the diagnosis — it’s about the person behind it, with their individual complaints, needs, and personal goals.

I’m currently expanding my knowledge and therapeutic skills through further training in osteopathy. The osteopathic approach allows me to view the body even more holistically and to better understand the connections between different structures and functions.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you and accompanying you on your journey toward greater mobility and wellbeing.

See you soon — Sema

Hi, I’m Björn, and I’ve been part of the Kuma team for many years.

I’ve loved sport since I was a child. I started doing yoga back in primary school, laying the first foundations for my journey as a therapist early on. That enthusiasm for movement and a healthy body has stayed with me ever since — and it’s exactly what I try to pass on in my work as a physiotherapist.

My professional focus areas include manual lymphatic drainage, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), and trigger point therapy. I also have a particular interest in issues affecting the lumbar spine (LWS) and the knee — here, I like to work with you on individual exercises for everyday life, so that the progress made in therapy carries over at home too.

Since 2016, I’ve also worked as a training coach at Herzhaus Berlin. So if you have any questions about the heart, feel free to come to me — drawing on my experience as a trainer, I’m also happy to put together small home workout plans for you.

Looking forward to meeting you — Björn

Treatments

Physiotherapy (KG — Therapeutic Exercise)

Physiotherapy (KG) forms the foundation of many of our treatments. Together, we work to improve your mobility, strength, and coordination. Through targeted exercises, we help your body move more freely, confidently, and safely.

Manuelle Therapy (MT)

Manual therapy (MT) helps release joint restrictions and muscular tension. Using specific hands-on techniques, we work to reduce pain and restore natural joint mobility.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle treatment that stimulates the body’s lymphatic system. Using slow, targeted movements, we help reduce swelling, improve lymph flow, and relieve pressure in the tissues.

Exercise Therapy with Equipment (KGG)

Medical exercise therapy with equipment (KGG) focuses on targeted strength and stability training using specialized equipment. This helps strengthen muscles, improve stability and make the body more resilient.

Neurological Physiotherapy (KG-ZNS)

Neurological Physiotherapy (KG-ZNS) is designed for people with neurological conditions. Through targeted exercises, we help your nervous system relearn movement patterns, improve coordination, and increase confidence in everyday activities.

Craniomandibular Dysfunction (CMD)

Craniomandibular Dysfunction (CMD) therapy addresses problems affecting the jaw joint and chewing muscles. Using targeted manual techniques and exercises, we help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve the interaction between the jaw, head, and neck.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapy helps improve your breathing and supports healthy lung function. Through specialized breathing exercises and techniques, we make breathing easier, help loosen mucus, and promote more efficient breathing.

Fango Heat Therapy

Fango Heat Therapy uses soothing deep heat to relax tense muscles, improve circulation, and help relieve pain. It is often used to prepare the body for physiotherapy treatment.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound Therapy uses gentle sound waves to support the body’s natural healing processes. It can help reduce pain, improve circulation, and promote the recovery of muscles, tendons, and joints.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy uses targeted electrical impulses to relieve pain and stimulate the muscles. Depending on your condition, it can improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and support the healing process.
